About the Nichiren Sect
The Nichiren Sect is a school of Japanese Buddhism founded by Saint Nichiren in the mid-Kamakura period (1253). It regards the *Lotus Sutra*—the essence of Shakyamuni Buddha's teachings—as supreme, and teaches that anyone can equally attain Buddhahood by chanting the *daimoku*: "Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō."
About White Bodhi Seed Beads
Bodhi wood is considered a precious material for making prayer beads, and White Bodhi seed beads are characterized by a circular indentation (the moon) and countless black spots (stars) on their surface, symbolizing the universe of the "Buddhist realm." They are comfortable to hold, and their color deepens with use. White Bodhi seed beads are a classic type of Bodhi wood prayer bead and are widely loved.
We selected Old color White Bodhi seed beads to craft this set of prayer beads. Unlike the standard pale-beige variety, these are characterized by a distinctive brownish-tan hue; with the passage of time and continued handling, they develop an increasingly rich, mellow color and a captivating luster.
About Golden Obsidian
Golden obsidian is a type of volcanic rock. Its properties are closer to those of glass than to a hard mineral. It is characterized by a golden sheen that appears when viewed from certain angles. Historically used to make edged tools, it is also known as a "stone for severing ties," believed to help cut off negative connections.

Maintenance
Natural wood and natural stone are sensitive to chemicals and sweat. We also recommend removing them before exercising, showering, or sleeping. Please wipe clean with a soft cloth. Store in the box when not in use and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
