[Fukure-ori Series]
"Fukure-ori" (puffed weave) is a type of textile featuring raised, textured patterns on its surface.
It is created using a double-weave technique that combines non-twisted yarn on the front with highly twisted, shrinkable yarn on the back.
As the highly twisted yarn on the back shrinks, the yarn on the front puffs outward, forming a three-dimensional pattern.
It is called "Fukure-ori" (literally "puffed weave") because of this raised, voluminous appearance.
By creating these raised, three-dimensional patterns, the fabric acquires a rich texture and tactile quality that cannot be achieved with a standard flat weave.
