Handmade in Kyoto, JAPAN

Agarwood, aloeswood or gharuwood is a fragrant dark resinous wood used in incense, perfume, and small carvings. Originally from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, it is formed in the hearthwood of acquilaria trees as a consequence of the resin produced to combat an infection. 

In the perfume state, the scent is mainly distinguished by a combination of "oriental-woody" and "very soft fruity-floral" notes. The incense smoke is also characterized by a "sweet-balsamic" note and "shades of vanilla and musk" and amber (not to be confused with ambergris). As a result, agarwood and its essential oil gained great cultural and religious significance in ancient civilizations around the world.

In Japan, Buddhists use Juzu (Prayer beads, Rosary). Kyoto is a famous producing center of Juzu.

Maintenance

Take off when you shower and before going to bed. The material is sensitive to chemicals and excessive sweat. We recommend you to take it off when doing sports and cleaning. Wipe with soft fabric.
