It was first discovered by the Egyptians and used by other civilizations like the Greeks, Romans and the Chinese for jewelry and ornaments. Among the properties of this crystal is boosting positivity and optimism and it might be helpful if you need focus. It is considered the gemstone for Gemini, Aries, and Libra.
In Japan, Buddhists use Prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju). Kyoto is a famous producing center of Prayer beads.
