About this juzu
Melia azedarach ( Sendan Wood) , commonly known by many names, including chinaberry tree,Pride of India, bead-tree, Cape lilac,syringa berrytree, Persian lilac, and Indian lilac, is a species of deciduous tree in the mahogany family, Meliaceae, that is native to Indomalaya and Australasia.
In Japan, Buddhists use Prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju). Kyoto is a famous producing center of Prayer beads.
Prayer beads are a traditional tool used to count the number of times a mantra is recited, the number of breaths while meditating, the prostrations, or the repetitions of a Buddha's name.
