【About Kutani ware】
Kutani ware(Japanese: 九谷焼 Kutani-yaki) is a representative Japanese colored porcelain produced in the cities of Kanazawa, Komatsu, Kaga, and Nomi in southern Ishikawa Prefecture. Characterized by vibrant and bold painting using the five Kutani colors of red, yellow, green, purple, and deep blue, it is known for its durability and high artistic value. Its history began with "Kotani" in the early Edo period, and today it is used in a wide range of applications, from everyday tableware to works of art.
【About Hotei】
One of the Seven Lucky Gods（Shichifukujin,七福神）. Modeled after a Zen monk from the Tang Dynasty, he is known for his smiling appearance and large bag on his back, and is worshipped as the god of happiness for the smiling father and marital bliss.
Because of their large size, this doll look great when displayed in a spacious area such as a tokonoma alcove, a Japanese-style room, or an entryway.It can be enjoyed as both lucky charms and collectibles.
