About Fuji Hinoki 

This product uses natural cypress wood from the foothills of Mount Fuji, called 【Fuji Hinoki】.

Unlike cypress wood from other sources in our store, the Mount Fuji cypress wood has a more light beige color with gray stripes, making it even more unique.

These wooden beads are not dyed or varnished, giving them a very light and rustic appearance. You can expect them to change with your use.

The interspersed beads are made of dyed blue agate. Combined with the wooden beads, they evoke the blue sky and snow-capped peaks of Mount Fuji.

※Due to the inherent properties of cypress wood, some tiny pores and pits will form during the bead-making process, resulting in beads that are not perfectly smooth. This is a unique characteristic of cypress wood.

In Japan, Buddhists use Prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju). Kyoto is a famous producing center of Prayer beads.

Maintenance

Take off when you shower and before going to bed. The material is sensitive to chemicals and excessive sweat. We recommend you to take it off when doing sports and cleaning. Wipe with soft fabric.
