About amber
This amber is a type of amber produced from China Fushun region. It is a fossil formed about 40 million years ago, its characteristic is that colors such as black and red are mixed and creating various patterns. It is said that the pattern the result of fossilization of amber mixed with extraneous material, such as plant leaves, flowers, and stones. This one is of a rare kind.
About juzu
In Japan, Buddhists have Prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju). Kyoto is a famous producing center of Prayer beads.
Prayer beads are a traditional tool used to count the number of times a mantra is recited, the breaths while meditating, the prostrations, or the repetitions of a buddha's name.
