About Tendai sect

This Prayer beads is Tendai's formal rosary .Tendai is a school of Mahayana Buddhism in Japan, a descendant of the Chinese Tiantai or Lotus Sutra school. A center of Japanese Tendai "Enryaku-ji temple" is on Mount Hiei, Northern Kyoto. It's also famous as UNESCO World Heritage Site.

About Black ebony wood

Ebony is a dense black / brown hardwood, most commonly yielded by several different species in the genus Diospyros, which also contains the persimmons. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water. It is finely-textured and has a very smooth finish when polished, making it valuable as an ornamental wood.

About Striped Ebony Wood
Striped Ebony Wood is native to Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries and is a hard, heavy, and extremely luxurious wood characterized by its distinct black and brown stripes. It is dense and durable, and it shines when polished, making it a versatile material for Buddhist altars, musical instruments, chopsticks, and more. It has become a rare material that is difficult to obtain in recent years.

About Shitan Rosewood

Rosewood is a broad-leaved tree belonging to the legume family, and is a general term for several species belonging to the genera Dalbergia and Pyrus. In the West, it is also called "rosewood." It is a highly regarded wood worldwide, known for its beautiful appearance and high durability.

About  White Bodhi Seed Beads
Bodhi wood is considered a precious material for making prayer beads, and White Bodhi seed beads are characterized by a circular indentation (the moon) and countless black spots (stars) on their surface, symbolizing the universe of the "Buddhist realm." They are comfortable to hold, and their color deepens with use. White Bodhi seed beads are a classic type of Bodhi wood prayer bead and are widely loved.

About Lignum vitae

Lignum vitae is a precious wood that is extremely dense and slow-growing, and its name means "tree of life" in Latin. It is popular for use in accessories such as prayer beads and bracelets, as well as for auspicious carvings.

The basic color of lignum vitae ranges from brown to dark green. In Japan, it is common to use lignum vitae beads that have been dyed a deep green.

Maintenance

Natural wood and natural stone are sensitive to chemicals and sweat. We also recommend removing them before exercising, showering, or sleeping. Please wipe clean with a soft cloth. Store in the box when not in use and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
