Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Hokusai is best known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景 Fugaku Sanjūroku-kei, c. 1831) which includes the internationally iconic print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

A Tenugui is a thin Japanese hand towel made of cotton. Tenugui has been a part of Japanese daily life for a long time. It can be used for anything - as a washcloth, dishcloth, headband, souvenir, decoration, or for wrapping items such as bottles. Most of Tenugui's edge are not sewed, because the Tenugui will dry out quicker and it helps to keep the Tenugui clean.
