About amber
This amber is a type of amber produced from China Fushun region. It is a fossil formed about 40 million years ago, its characteristic is that colors such as black and red are mixed and creating various patterns. It is said that the pattern is based on the fact that when amber, which is a tree sap, is fossilized, foreign plants such as plant leaves, flowers, and stones are mixed.
About juzu
In Japan, Buddhists have Prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju). Kyoto is famous as a producing center of Prayer beads.
Prayer beads are a traditional tool used to count the number of times a mantra is recited, the breaths while meditating, the prostrations, the repetitions of a buddha's name.
This is a one-handed prayer beads, can be used by any buddhist school.
